Also, popular dates fill fast. June especially! Holidays fill fast as does any week the Huskers do not play in the fall.
If you are more flexible about your location or are planning far enough in advance, or are planning for a less popular season, you will have lots of choices to make.
Start by selecting the time of the year when you want to get married. Most Omaha Weddings are in May, June, or July. Part of this is tradition, part practical. You are most likely to have a nice day in these months. Fall can be beautiful also with the changing leaves adding tons of color, especially if you want an outdoor wedding. Winter can be great too with snow and Christmas decorations everywhere. Just remember where we live. Weather can effect your day as well as make it more difficult for guests, especially out of towners.
Another thing to consider is a special date in your life or your family. Anniversaries of your first date, engagement, parent’s wedding as well as any other significant date in your life make great wedding days.
Time of day is also a consideration. At most houses of worship, this can be a bit limited in that weddings are scheduled around services and other functions. Be sure to check with your location about the times available before you firm up your plans.
