Start with time of day. Afternoon, or evening is the normal choice and part of that is decided by when your ceremony is. But if you have a late morning or early afternoon ceremony, then you have more choices of time of day of your reception.

Take a step back, take a deep breath, and unless you plan on getting married this month, take a day or two to think about what is really important to you.
First off, not to overstate the obvious, but you are getting married and there are two of you involved. What about your soon to be husband’s house of worship? Is it the same as yours? Are you two the same religion? Do you attend a different house of worship together than you did growing up?
Also, popular dates fill fast. June especially! Holidays fill fast as does any week the Huskers do not play in the fall.
